Phoenix Comic Con May 28-31, 2015.

April 27th, 2015 No comments

I’ll be at Phoenix Comic Con in Phoenix, AZ, May 28-31, 2015.

Here are my current convention commission sketch prices/options and how it works for me during the weekend.
I will be taking a new sketch list at the beginning of each day of the con. The list has a limited number of spots so hit my table early to make sure you get on the list. It fills up fast!
I can be found at table 4132!

Convention Commission specs (single character):

  • Head shot black and white on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $40
  • Head shot grayscale Copic markers on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $60
  • Head shot color Copic markers on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $80
  • Half figure black and white on 9″x12″ art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $120
  • Half figure grayscale Copic markers on 9″x12″ art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $160
  • Half figure color Copic markers on 9″x12″ art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $200

I’ll also have my Volume 1 Sketchbook, art prints and some original art/commissions for sale.
I will sign most comics for free.
Due to the highly speculative nature of Phantom Variant comics, there will be a charge for signatures on those comics:
Silk #2, Silk #3, Deadpool #250, and any other Phantom Variants released: $5 per comic. ($10 per comic if getting the comic CGC’d.)
(No charge for these signatures if you have your comic personalized to you)

I hope this info helps. There is a possibility info could be updated or changed between now and the convention, so stay tuned to my social networks or subscribe to my the RSS feed for possible updates.

Sketch Retweet Contest: Phoenix Comic Con 2014

June 2nd, 2014 No comments

Want a chance to win an original convention style sketch of you very own?

Here’s how my convention Sketch Retweet Contests work.
During a given convention weekend, you click “RETWEET” on any and/or all of MY sketches hashtagged for that convention weekend. (Other artist sketches are not part of my Sketch Retweet Contest.)

After the convention, I use a random number generator to find one of those sketches I posted during that convention hashtagged weekend as the pool from where a winner will be randomly drawn. Using the random number generator again, one person, or “retweeter”, will be randomly chosen as the winner.

The Prize: 1 (one) 6.5″x10″ (roughly) head sketch in black and white, grayscale Copic marker, or color Copic Marker of a character of your choosing. (Sorry, no creator-owned/personal characters)

The contest runs from the first day of the convention weekend to the day after the convention. I’ve been doing my Sketch Retweet Contest on my Twitter feed during my convention appearances for two years now. It’s my way of bringing a bit of the convention to you. The response to these “contests” has been great! And growing! Each batch of convention sketches gets more and more retweets. Some of you even discovered my work through one of my contests.
I appreciate the support from new and long-time fans alike. Thank you for faithfully retweeting my sketches to your Twitter followers during each of my conventions. I hope y’all are having as much fun as I do during the convention weekend.

I’m at  Phoenix Comic Con this weekend with the hashtag: #PHXCC2104 #PHXCC
The contest runs Thursday, June 5 to Monday, June 9, 2014. The winner will be announced sometime on Monday, June 9, 2014.
Any rewteets of any sketches after the winner has been announced are not valid for the sketch prize.

Remember! You DO NOT have to attend the convention to retweet sketches for a chance at the sketch prize. It is open to anyone, anywhere, with a Twitter account!
I thank you all again for your continued support and enjoyment of my work!
My new Nightcrawler series for Marvel, written by legendary X-Men  writer Chris Claremont, is on stands now!
