Here are my current convention weekend commission prices/options and how it works for me during the weekend. (These are not my studio commission or pre-con commission prices!)
I have now posted ALL NEW convention commission list procedure guidelines HERE! And subscribe to my RSS feed so you do not miss updates!
If I am able to take on any pre-con commissions, I will post an announcement here. Subscribe to my RSS feed to receive email updates.

NOTE! Due to my scheduled appearances and responsibilities, my con commission lists will be very limited and, at the moment, may be regulated to only head shots.
You may request a half figure, but the likelihood of me having the time to take on any half figures during the weekend are minimal. Stay tuned for updates!
Convention Commission specs (single character*):

  • Head shot black and white on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, on your sketch cover comic, or personal sketchbook: $50 US
  • Head shot color Copic markers on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, on your sketch cover comic, or personal sketchbook: $80 US
  • Half figure black and white on 9″x12″ (roughly) art board, on your sketch cover comic, or personal sketchbook: $180 US
  • Half figure color Copic markers on 9″x12″ (roughly) art board, on your sketch cover comic, or personal sketchbook: $250 US
    *NOTE: Commission requests that require celebrity or actor likenesses may be declined.

AUTOGRAPHS:
I will sign most comics for free.
Due to the rarity and highly speculative nature of variant cover comics, there may be a charge of $5 per comic for signatures on those comics.

ART FOR SALE:
I’ll have original 11×17 comic book art pages, limited edition art prints, and some pre-drawn 9×12 commissions for sale.

C2E2 2014 Sketch Retweet Contest Rules and info

RTiconRULES and REGULATIONS!!!
When retweeting one of my sketches during one of my convention sketch retweet contests…
JUST click the RETWEET “square arrow” button!
I’ve found some people use the older method of quote retweets or RT retweets. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find each of those individual retweets.
So from here on out, any other or older method, like quote retweets or RT retweets, will NOT be included in the running for the sketch prize.
ONLY “retweet button” clicks are eligible for the sketch prize.

The contest runs from the first day of the convention weekend to the day after the convention. Any rewteets of any sketches after the winner has been announced are not valid for the sketch prize.

I’ve been doing my Sketch Retweet Contest on my Twitter feed during my convention appearances for two years now. It’s my way of bringing a bit of the convention to you. The response to these “contests” has been great! And growing! Each batch of convention sketches gets more and more retweets. Some of you discovered my work through one of my contests.
I appreciate the support from new and long-time fans alike. Thank you for faithfully retweeting my sketches to your Twitter followers during each of my conventions. I hope y’all are having as much fun as I do during the convention weekend.

Over the past few conventions and the growing number of sketch retweets, I’m finding certain Twitter parameters makes tracking each retweet more and more challenging. So in an effort to make sure everyone continues to get a fair shot at the original sketch prize I am instituting that new rule posted at the beginning.

The “retweet button” clicks are very simple for me to find on the Twitter Trackback site I use. And with the increasing volume of retweets, I need to keep things easy, clean, and clear. I still have work deadlines to get back into after each convention! 🙂

I thank you all again for your continued support and enjoyment of my work!
I’m at C2E2 in Chicago, IL this weekend. The contest runs Friday, April 25 to Monday April 28th when the winner will be announced.
Remember! You DO NOT have to attend the convention to retweet sketches for a chance at the sketch prize. It is open to anyone, anywhere, with a Twitter account!

I’m coming back to Chicago!

I haven’t been to a Chicago con since Wizard World 2003. I have been long overdue to return….

I will be at C2E2 for the first time next weekend, April 13-15. Find me in Artist Alley table A-12.
I’ll have original art, prints and my Volume 1 sketchbook for sale. I’ll also be drawing commission sketches.

Here’s all the commission sketch info:

All prices are for single character.
No personal, creator-owned characters.

I prefer not to take a request list or do commissions for people to come back and pick up later.
