Sketch Retweet Contest: Dallas Comic Con 2014

Want a chance to win an original convention style sketch of you very own?

Here’s how my convention Sketch Retweet Contests work.
During a given convention weekend, you click “RETWEET” on any and/or all of MY sketches hashtagged for that convention weekend. (Other artist sketches are not part of my Sketch Retweet Contest.)

After the convention, I use a random number generator to find one of those sketches I posted during that convention hashtagged weekend as the pool from where a winner will be randomly drawn. Using the random number generator again, one person, or “retweeter”, will be randomly chosen as the winner.

The Prize: 1 (one) 6.5″x10″ (roughly) head sketch in black and white, grayscale Copic marker, or color Copic Marker of a character of your choosing. (Sorry, no creator-owned/personal characters)

The contest runs from the first day of the convention weekend to the day after the convention. I’ve been doing my Sketch Retweet Contest on my Twitter feed during my convention appearances for two years now. It’s my way of bringing a bit of the convention to you. The response to these “contests” has been great! And growing! Each batch of convention sketches gets more and more retweets. Some of you even discovered my work through one of my contests.
I appreciate the support from new and long-time fans alike. Thank you for faithfully retweeting my sketches to your Twitter followers during each of my conventions. I hope y’all are having as much fun as I do during the convention weekend.

I’m at Dallas Comic Con this weekend with the hashtag: #DallasComicCon2014 #DCC.
The contest runs Friday, May 16 to Monday, May 19, 2014. The winner will be announced sometime on Monday, May 19, 2014.
Any rewteets of any sketches after the winner has been announced are not valid for the sketch prize.

Remember! You DO NOT have to attend the convention to retweet sketches for a chance at the sketch prize. It is open to anyone, anywhere, with a Twitter account!
I thank you all again for your continued support and enjoyment of my work!
Todd

C2E2 2014 Sketch Retweet Contest Rules and info

RTiconRULES and REGULATIONS!!!
When retweeting one of my sketches during one of my convention sketch retweet contests…
JUST click the RETWEET “square arrow” button!
I’ve found some people use the older method of quote retweets or RT retweets. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find each of those individual retweets.
So from here on out, any other or older method, like quote retweets or RT retweets, will NOT be included in the running for the sketch prize.
ONLY “retweet button” clicks are eligible for the sketch prize.

The contest runs from the first day of the convention weekend to the day after the convention. Any rewteets of any sketches after the winner has been announced are not valid for the sketch prize.

I’ve been doing my Sketch Retweet Contest on my Twitter feed during my convention appearances for two years now. It’s my way of bringing a bit of the convention to you. The response to these “contests” has been great! And growing! Each batch of convention sketches gets more and more retweets. Some of you discovered my work through one of my contests.
I appreciate the support from new and long-time fans alike. Thank you for faithfully retweeting my sketches to your Twitter followers during each of my conventions. I hope y’all are having as much fun as I do during the convention weekend.

Over the past few conventions and the growing number of sketch retweets, I’m finding certain Twitter parameters makes tracking each retweet more and more challenging. So in an effort to make sure everyone continues to get a fair shot at the original sketch prize I am instituting that new rule posted at the beginning.

The “retweet button” clicks are very simple for me to find on the Twitter Trackback site I use. And with the increasing volume of retweets, I need to keep things easy, clean, and clear. I still have work deadlines to get back into after each convention! 🙂

I thank you all again for your continued support and enjoyment of my work!
I’m at C2E2 in Chicago, IL this weekend. The contest runs Friday, April 25 to Monday April 28th when the winner will be announced.
Remember! You DO NOT have to attend the convention to retweet sketches for a chance at the sketch prize. It is open to anyone, anywhere, with a Twitter account!
So keep on retweeting those sketches! (with the retweet button, please!)

Charity Fundraiser TODAY Wed, Feb 26, at Metropolis Comics, Bellflower CA.

Bullying happens everywhere. My friends at Metropolis Comics in Bellflower, CA brought this story to my attention:

Michael Morones is an amazing 11 year old young man from North Carolina. He loves drawing, playing the violin, and My Little Pony.
But he was bullied for being a Brony to the point of attempting to take his own life. He was found in time but lost oxygen to his brain. He is currently in the hospital and under care.

SoCal comic fans! Metropolis Comics in Bellflower, CA, has invited me and other top comic creators, TODAY, Feb 26, from 5-8pm for a charity fundraiser for the Michael Morones Foundation. We will be drawing sketches for donations to help the Morones family and their mounting medical costs.

Visit https://www.facebook.com/FansofMetrohero for info on today’s event!

If you can’t attend the event, you can make a personal donation to help Michael and his family here, http://www.michaelmorones.org/.
