My Todd Nauck “Stay At Home Con” Wave 2 Commission list is CURRENTLY CLOSED!
A LOT of emails have come in right away and I had to close off the Wave 2 list immediately. I will be responding to emailed requests very soon and will take on as many of these as I can.
If you got a request in, I will email you as soon as I can. I will do my best accommodate as many of these requests as I can over the next many weeks.
Stay tuned to my site for updates.
And if you were not able to submit a request this round, please keep an eye out for a possible WAVE 3!
Thank you so much for your interest in and support for my art!

Todd Nauck “Stay At Home Con” commission art opportunity: WAVE 2 IS COMING!

Hi, everyone!
I know many of us have been maintaining our health, safety and wellness during this COVID-19 season with staying at home and social distancing.
A lot of our favorite comic conventions have been canceled or postponed.

Many of you are on my closed official studio commission list. I am moving through that list now. If you’ve been patiently waiting, your name may be nearing the top of that list! This list IS a top priority. But there is downtime between emailing the clients currently on that official list, processing payment, drawing the commission and getting things going with the next clients.

So to maximize my time for those who still want a pre-con style pieces, now that I’ve finished my first round of “Stay At Home Con” commissions, amidst my work on my official studio commission list, I am opening up a SECOND WAVE of limited time “Todd Nauck Stay At Home Con” commissions!
(This is still ONLY for U.S. “Stay At Home Con” commission requests at this time. I hope to do some for international requests at some point if I can. COVID-19 has caused some challenges with international shipping that entails extended time spent in a physical post office.)

I am NOT taking “Stay At Home Con” email requests now! 🙂
Info on how to get on my “Todd Nauck Stay At Home Con” Commission list will post HERE on my front page
Monday, June 1, 2020 at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern.

Here is what I plan to do:
1. I will open up for some pre-con style studio commissions. Options and prices listed below. On Monday, June 1, at 6pm Pacific Time/9pm Eastern Time, I will post a new announcement HERE on my site stating the “Todd Nauck Stay At Home Con Commission” list is now open with very specific info I need to collate my list.
2. There will be a CODE WORD in the post’s subject heading AND in bold letters in the body of the post. This word goes in the subject of YOUR email at that time. My email address will be mail@wildguard.com.
3. You will send me that email with all the required commission info in the body of your email:

  • Your first and last name.
  • The type of commission you’re looking for (Options listed below!).
  • The name of character (and specific costume/era) you would like for that commission. (Please include 1-3 low-res jpegs of that specific costume/era.)
  • At least 3 alternate characters (in case I am not able to fulfill your first character request. Certain actor/celebrity likenesses and possibly video game, anime, and certain movie/TV characters may be declined).

4. I will reply to as many Stay At Home Con commission requests as I can. THE LIST COULD CLOSE VERY FAST!
If you receive a reply, you are on the list and we can make PayPal payment arrangements and I draw and mail out your commissioned art!
If you do not receive a reply, I may be maxed out for this window of “Stay At Home Con” commissions. Or I may take on a few more requests if I can complete the initial list and there is still time.
5. If this goes well, I may do another round of Stay At Home Con Commissions as soon as I can!

All commissions are single character!
These pre-con style commissions are drawn on 9″x12″ smooth Strathmore Bristol board. If you want yours on a sketch cover, we can discuss that possibility in your email request chain. That will depend on what blank sketch covers I have available and would be an extra charge.

These are my current Pre-Con style commission options and rates. Limit ONE commission per person.

  • Half figure black and white on 9″x12″: $350
  • Half figure color Copic markers on 9″x12″: $450
  • Head shot black and white on 7″x10″: $100
  • Head shot color on 7″x10″: $150
  • Half and half character requests (like half Peter Parker/half Spider-Man) will require an extra charge.
  • Shipping/handling will be $10 for USPS Priority Mail. If you want to insure your shipment, that price can be calculated.
*NOTE: Commission requests that require celebrity or actor likenesses (and possibly video game, anime, and certain movie/TV characters) may be declined. No personal or your creator-owned characters, please.
    *NOTE:
The Copic Marker website says: “Dyes are artificial material made through chemical processes and are not usually as archival as pigment products. In general, dyes are susceptible to ultraviolet rays. Copic inks are a dye and Copic-colored images will fade under direct sunlight or fluorescent light. If your artwork with Copic will be put up in well-lighted area, it is better to seal it with a UV blocking seal.” https://copic.jp/en/support/f3-3/

To those that have been on my Official Studio Commission list, this is a separate opportunity, just like a comic con pre-con list.
If you have been on that official list, you can still participate in this opportunity and keep your spot on the official list if you’d like! Feel free to submit your request during “Stay At Home Con”! (I will be continuing to tackle my current official studio commission list during this time, and hope to reopen that official list for new clients in the future!)

See you here Monday, June 1, 2020 at 6pm Pacific time/9pm Eastern.
My thanks for your interest in my commissioned art
Stay safe and well!
Todd

NOTE: Due to the number of emails I may receive along with other deadlines and studio commissions, I cannot guarantee I will be able to reply to every request. If you do not receive a reply from me, it means I ran out of time and could not accommodate any further requests.
But I may do another round of “Stay At Home Con” commissions. Stay tuned for updates!

Hurricane Harvey Relief through Sticky Note Art

UPDATE! For the month of September 2017, together we raised $1285 in Post-It Note art sales to benefit relief for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Donations of $642.50 have been made to The Red Cross and Samaritan’s Purse Hurricane Relief funds.
My thanks to ALL of you who were able to purchase my September Post-It art pieces. And thanks to all who also inquired about purchasing a piece each time and day a new one posted. I appreciate everyone’s support for Hurricane relief as well as my art.
Next up! I am going to be auctioning off 2 sketch cover illustrations with proceeds going to benefit those affected by the Mexico earthquake and the Puerto Rico hurricane. Stay tuned to my site and social media for updates!
Thanks again and God bless!
Todd

I want to do what I can to help with the Hurricane Harvey Relief efforts.
100% of the proceeds from the sales on my Sticky Note art posted for September 2017 will be divided up to go to the following charities to benefit those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
American Red Cross
Samaritan’s Purse

How to purchase a Sticky Note illustration:
Follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and/or Facebook. When a new Sticky Note illustration posts during September 2017, first email in to me at mail@wildguard.com gets first shot at buying.
If the first person cannot complete the sale, the next email in, in the order emails are received, gets the next opportunity to buy. This process continues until that specific Sticky note art is sold.
Due to the number of emails that may come in for any given Sticky Note art, you may not receive a reply unless you are the first email in or next person to have an opportunity to buy that specific Sticky Note art.
Prices vary depending on the complexity and detail of art in the Sticky Note. Range has been $40-$100. But average has been around $50-$60.

Thanks for your participation in helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

NOTE: Though I attend many SoCal conventions, I will NOT be exhibiting at WonderCon LA this year.

I’ll also have my new full color Sketchbook: RED, art prints and some original art/commissions for sale.

COMMISSIONED ART
Here are my current convention commission prices/options and how it works for me during the weekend. (These are not my studio commission prices!)
I will be taking a new commission list at the beginning of each day of the con.
The list has a limited number of spots (which vary in number at each con depending on size of con, demand, and my other convention responsibilities for that day) so hit my table early to make sure you get on the list. My list can fill up fast!

Some cons offer VIP or advanced ticket entry allowing certain attendees onto the con floor an hour before general admission. In these cases, I allow for limited spots for VIP/advance ticket holders AND limited spots for general admission attendees each day.
I only allow ONE exhibitor badge holder (or “in the con before show opens” spot whether it be exhibitor, artist alley, pro, press, VIP or general attendee) on my list each day. The other spots are reserved for the VIP and general admission attendees after the show opens.
Be sure to research your convention’s entry guidelines and locations to make sure you’re in the right spot at the right time for expedient entry.

Due to my current work
schedule, I may only be able to take 3 or 4 commissions each day.

Convention Commission specs (single character*):

  • Head shot black and white on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $50
  • Head shot color Copic markers on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $80
  • Half figure black and white on 9″x12″ art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $150
  • Half figure color Copic markers on 9″x12″ art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $220
*NOTE: Commission requests that require celebrity or actor likenesses may be declined.
    * Your Creator-owned characters are not eligible for convention commissions.
  • Sunday commissions may be relegated to only head shots depending on time constraints.

I hope this info helps. There is a possibility info could be updated or changed between now and the convention, so stay tuned to my social networks or subscribe to my the RSS feed for possible updates.
