Kid Loki

This was a commission I couldn’t finish during the last day of Phoenix Comicon. The fire alarm sounded and we had to evacuate immediately. The gal I was drawing this for was kind enough to let me finish at home and mail it out to her. So I hooked her up with color.
Craziest end to a convention I’d ever experienced!

Copic sketch markers and Pigma Micron markers.

Heroes Con 2013

IMG_1478I’ll be at Heroes Con June 7-9.

Here are my current convention commission sketch prices/options and how it works for me during the weekend.
I pretty much do not take a list or do drop-offs (it’s not unheard of, but it’s very rare!).
I draw each commission for each person as they wait in line, hang out, and chat. I do one commission per person.

Due to demand and limited time, if a person wants a few commissions for the weekend, they would have to cycle around in line for each commission. But I’ll be there all 3 days! This will, hopefully, allow me to draw commissions for as many people as possible.

  • Head shot black and white on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $40
  • Head shot grayscale Copic markers on 7″x10″ (roughly) art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $60
  • (Half & Half requests, i.e. Peter Parker/Spidey, add $15. head/bust shots only, not available for half figures.)
  • Half figure black and white on 9″x12″ art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $100
  • Half figure grayscale Copic markers on 9″x12″ art board, sketch cover, or personal sketchbook: $125

I’ll also have my Volume 1 Sketchbook, art prints and original art/commissions for sale.
I hope this info helps. There is a possibility info could change between now and the convention, so stay tuned to my social networks or subscribe to my the RSS feed for possible updates.
More convention appearances to be announced soon!

Art Auction to benefit my pal/superstar writer, Peter David

I was lucky enough to spend 5 years working with legendary writer, Peter David, on the DC Comic’s series, Young Justice as well as another 2 years on the Marvel Comics series, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Peter and his family have been great friends to my wife, Dawn and I.

We were shocked and saddened to hear Peter had suffered from a stroke in December of last year. He is quickly on the mend and getting back to health. But in the meantime, hospital and physical therapy bills are mounting. While insurance covers some of it, many of us that have had the pleasure of working with Peter have donated original art to auction off to help defray as many of those costs for the David family. The auction has been spearheaded by Fallen Angel artist, JK Woodward. You can find all the art available for auction as well as other cool ways you can help via JK’s blog: HERE.

Here are direct links to the Young Justice and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man pages I have donated. The auction ends tomorrow!

Guarding the Globe Store Signing: Sept 5th

My new series, Guarding the Globe, hits the comic book shelves on Sept 5th.
I’ll be appearing at both Phat Collectibles stores in Orange County, CA that day for signings. Anaheim 11a-1p and Huntington Beach 4p-6p.

I will be drawing $30 head/bust, single character commissions. And 2 head/bust sketches will be raffled off at each store during my appearance.
I’ll also have sketchbooks, prints, and original art for sale, as well.
